Homework

Oh Frank! Why are you looking so very proud there in the sunshine? Is it possible that your heart is swollen with delight due to a recent feature appearing in our niece's homework?

Indeed!! We are quite proud!

Friends. We have an announcement. Frank has joined Facebook. I have no idea what this means or how it will work but we are ever so eager (we think) to find out!

You Have What?!

There are few things that put fear in the heart of New Yorkers like the word infestation. Specifically an infestation of bed bugs. So it was with alarm that my mother misheard me on the phone last week when I informed her that I had a severe infestation of Bed Pugs....

As you can see it is quite serious... and the little buggers DO like to burrow in so that you can't get to them...

they lay low...

are drawn out by warmth....

and make themselves virtually impossible eradicate due to their very persistent adorableness.

Bed Pugs. Good luck getting rid of these critters.

An internal dialogue from Frank & Bean:

Bean:  Pssst... Frank! Why does cousin Gussie need to hog all of the pillows?

Frank: Bean! You know that it is not polite to whisper and stare.

Bean: I think he needs them to support that long snout of his.

Frank: Bean! Now, just because he is not sharing, that is no reason to comment on his more prominent features. Emily Post would be dismayed. We will just lie here happily on the rest of the couch.

Bean: Sigh.

Keeping Warm!

As many in the country may have noticed, there is a cold snap in the air! Frank and Bean do NOT enjoy being cold, as most of their friends and fans know, so we were DELIGHTED when one of our favorite friends presented us with a gift!!!

What!! Hand knit turtleneck sweaters!! And they are oh so soft!

Oh, Frank and Bean! Don't you look so cozy and stunning!

I was also delighted to discover that the necks could be unrolled...

Frank and Bean don't look as delighted, but just wait until their ears get cold and they will embrace this look for sure!

Big thank you to our favorite turkey farmer!! (Literally, she is raising happy healthy turkeys for Thanksgiving... oh Frank & Bean... Delicious!)

The 12th Pug!

Fear not readers! The title of the blog does not mean that Frank & Bean have gained 10 brothers and sisters, but rather that they have embraced the enthusiasm of their adopted hometown for their football team. It seems that here in the Pacific Northwest, the fans call themselves the twelfth man (which it must be said we find a little bit odd and silly, though I am assured that the noise made in the stadium by the fans does actually help to distract the opposing team... we remain skeptical). Never the less, the pugs have found several reasons to embrace this strange human past time:

1) There are more often than not many warm laps on which to make themselves comfortable during football viewing. Though it must be said that they have found themselves dumped on the floor more than once when one of the owners of a lap has jumped up in an enthusiastic cheer forgetting that there was someone small and handsome in their lap. In addition, at least one person is usually under a blanket taking a snooze for part of the game because MY  those announcers do drone on.

2) Snacks! Football seems to often be accompanied by food, which is often on a coffee table or some such other easily accessible location.

AND always fashion forward.....
3)!! Just LOOK how handsome and official they look in their wee pug jerseys which arrived from
Santa:

Oh Frank and Bean! Such festive stylish and supportive fans you are!

Cheese!!!

Now. We have had a request or two for more regular updates in the new year and we DO like to accommodate our faithful readers! SO, to start off the New Year I would like to present the following video which I like to call Bean Tries to Use His Eyes as a Cheese Magnet.
Please note how they keep getting larger and larger as he reaches for the delicious nugget of monterey jack with his tiny opposable thumb-free paws...

(I hope we don't consider this cruel!)

(Also, enjoy the Christmas tunes in the background!)
